Available Antler grades:
Grade 1-aged 1-3 months and is hard and shiny
Grade 2- aged 4-12 months and has 1 cracked surface
Grade 3-- 1-2 years old and has 2 cracked surfaces
All grades are available in your choice of Natural or Lightly Stained Antlers:
We use a special antler stain on all designs to re-create the "natural brown" look of pre-shed antlers. (We can also leave the antlers natural bleached white upon request.) The stain creates fairly even coloration depending on how each antler takes the stain, but most often we strive to re-create the "natural brown" look as closely as possible. Often, even experienced antler people can’t tell the difference between stained and natural! We use the same special antler stain to return the Grade 3 antlers to a "natural brown" that we use on Grade 2 antlers. We also take special care to sand and seal the antlers to bring back a beautiful surface texture. You will still notice some cracking. Please remember that due to the fact that these are natural, each piece is will vary slightly from other pieces and from the photos shown.
